AOC Saint-Emilion Grand Cru
Legend has it that a stele containing a thorn from Christ’s crown once stood on the site of what is now the Château L’Epine vineyard. This, according to legend, is the origin of the name Château L’Epine. Founded in 1927 by Gabriel Ardouin I, the estate is now managed by his grandson, Gabriel Ardouin II, who passionately and humbly crafts exceptional wines using traditional family expertise.

Saint-Emilion Grand Cru
Since its creation in 1999 from a single hectare plot, Château Pas de l’Ane has continuously grown. In 2006, Vignobles Pas de l’Ane established itself in the former Château Cros-Figeac, also known as Château Cros-Saint-Emilion. It is situated among prestigious neighbors such as Château Cheval Blanc and Château Figeac. The 13-hectare vineyard is spread across 5 of the 8 communes that make up the Saint-Emilion appellation. This fragmentation of the plots fosters a diversity of terroirs, allowing for the production of five Saint-Emilion Grand Cru wines.

The estate, dating back to 1750, shares a royal history with the Palace of Versailles. Why the name Château de La Dauphine? Because of the visit of Marie-Josèphe of Saxony, mother of Louis XVI and Dauphine of France.
