Tourist tax in the territory of La Cali

Tourist tax in the territory of La Cali

The Libourne Urban Community (La Cali) has implemented a tourist tax across its entire territory.

As a host, you are required to collect and remit the proceeds of the tourist tax to us in accordance with the provisions of this resolution. The revenue from the tourist tax is intended to encourage tourist visits to the community or to cover expenses related to actions to protect and manage natural areas for tourism purposes in our region.

Thus, since its introduction in 2013, the tourist tax has enabled the development of tourism and promotional activities for the destination.

In terms of promotion, the Tourist Office promotes the destination nationally and internationally through its presence at the “Rendez-vous en France” trade show, the Berlin International Tourism Fair, for example, as well as at trade shows specializing in wine tourism and cycling tourism. Through its partnerships, it also directly promotes “l’escale Libourne” to river cruise companies in overseas markets.

It also develops press receptions to promote its main tourism activities: river tourism, cycling tourism, and wine tourism.

The tourist tax also helps encourage the development of leisure activities in the region and finances their implementation to extend visitors’ stays.

The tourist tax is therefore an essential resource for the development of tourism in the destination and enables the continued development of services for visitors and tourism providers.
